My Artist Statement
--Judy
Art is a passion of mine, more specifically,
drawing, I would love to explore other mediums but they don’t excite and
interest me the same way that drawing does. In drawing I love how you can see
how much effort you put into something and I love how you can look at your
pieces and see how far you have come. Seeing your progress in something you love
is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.
When I first started out drawing, I
swore that I would stick to doing traditional media, but that went out the
window when my father bought me a tablet as a birthday gift. Ever since then I
would only draw finished and serious pieces digitally and I would only doodle
and practice on traditional media.
The art that I like to create is
character art, also known as original character art (OC). Almost all the drawings I draw are characters
that belong to other people or my original characters. When you have your own original characters,
you end up giving them a story line and that is what made me want to animate so
much. I love animation; even to this day
a lot of the shows I watch are animated, the end goal is to learn how to
animate so that I can finally give my characters more life.
There is so much you can do with animation
and the hard work and amazing storyline makes it so inspiring and motivating. When I see amazing animations, where the actions
of the characters are so fluid, along with an amazing sound track and sound
effects send shivers down my spine and make the fire that burns in my soul to
animate burn even more.
